Hello everyone,

First journal in a year and a half, I am still on DA though. I am still storm chasing and finally saw a tornado early this summer south of Waverly Mo.  Unfortunately it was part of the same storm system that destroyed part of downtown Joplin Mo. The photos weren't spectacular but I may post them anyway. I still have a bunch more photo's to post, including shots of a car show, and a rainbow with only orange and red.

I am conducting research on organic solar cells this summer running simulations on a supercomputer. In the process I did some of the hardest math I've ever attempted (3pg and a week of work without a solution.) But at least the simulation is working well.

I am still studying ceramic engineering but I am increasingly thinking about condensed matter or particle physics for grad school. I had a lab class about glass this last semester and made some awesome stuff. I made some cool color changing glass with neodymium oxide. There is nothing like going into the lab on a cold morning to turn the furnace up to 1500 C. I should be taking glass blowing this coming spring so I will be posting what I make.

To all those I watch, I am still getting on every once and a while to catch up on deviations.
