Artist's Comments

I was hiking when i saw this ice that had formed on the underside of some leaves. Most of it was long needle like crystals but there was this hexagonal one in the middle so i did manual focus on the camera and set it to almost 0 and brought the camera closer until it was in focus.
One of my favorite pictures of all time.

crystal it's self was only a couple cm wide

thanks to :iconmr-messy: for the title suggestion

Crystal Dreams
Ice Fantasy
Swarovski Ice

I could probably think of more, but that's all that I can come up with right now.

You make me want to dig up some old photographs and scan them.

:wow: that's a great shot then. You probably had to get close to it I would have expected some blurriness due to movement.
it was bright enough and i set the focal length to nearly 0 and it looked good

my dad and i were out on a mapping trip of ring structures south of Lake of the Ozarks in missouri
