Flash Idea

So we started talking about magnetic fields in depth today i have plans to do something Flash related with it. Something with particles and fields coming in out of the page. Ill try and work on it this Sunday. If anyone wants to build on this i give the math. I also want to try and make something like my electric field program [link] but with magnets of various shapes.

I am also making a master list of minerals for a competition coming up. Its incredibly intricate with all sorts of properties. Ill post it in my scraps when I'm done if anyone wants it.

ok,
so the physics say that if you have a charged particle moving though an magnetic field the particle will vier of and make circles.

N pole.........S pole

so magnetic field lines point from the north to south poles of magnets

now the hold your right hand up and with your palm facing you flatten it out with your thumb extended like this:

now your fingers are pointing in the direction of the magnetic field and your thumb represent the velocity of a charged particle. the force on this moving positive particle is the palm of your hand

so a positive particle shot into a magnetic field like this...

will get a force on it toward you and out of the


now lets say the electric field is pointing toward you out of the screen.

the force on this particle will be down



anyway the the idea is to simulate this in a program and have particles move around on it

well particle just vier off in magnetic fields thats the whole point.
